Audio Transcription

Audio Transcription:

How does Audio Transcriptioin work with Independent Projects?

A program called, Cool Edit Pro: pause and play back Mp3’s quickly and accurately.

Fee structures are set up that are affordable for any client. Some clients pay a monthly retainer, because they like the ease in which they can come to me at any given time within that month for a project. Newer clients like to pay project-based so they gain the comfort and trust of contracting their important and valuable work to us. I am very flexible, whatever the client’s wants and needs are; we can deliver.

Fee Structure INCLUDES typing audio into the Microsoft Office format of client’s choice, proofreading/editing, formatted appropriately to client’s specifications, e.g., Client needs a report-style format or a letter-style format. Office Formats include: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Why Excel? Some clients need their contacts entered into a database and they may have a PDF file or contacts in their iPhones and do not have a way to scan and import into Excel.

Fee Structure:

Basic audio transcription: easy to hear and understand/one person dialog: $1.25/minute of audio.

Advanced audio transcription: Two or more person dialog, conference call or meeting: $1.50/minute of audio.

I can transcribe: Books, EBooks, Manuscripts, Newsletters, Minutes of Meeting, Conference Calls, Employee Training Manuals, PowerPoint Presentations: for instance, motivational speakers that reference their presentation during their speeches… Up to the very unique reports and/or documents.

I started thinking and planning the idea of Independent Projects back in 2006, before the economy took its largest downfall.  I was laid off by one of the major financial institutes and was also seven months pregnant at the time.  I struggled to find meaning and a new career path.

Shortly after being laid off, I started working for an independent financial planner from home, but was still planning my future in my head.  I wanted to create a business and one that would survive this recession.

I knew that business owners were struggling to keep their dreams afloat.  I mean, if you watched the news at all you knew this wasn’t a big secret!

Since I was already working from home for one person, I started writing a business plan for how I might be able to work with multiple business owners and entrepreneurs.  Lots of research and note taking!

The business plan evolved into Independent Projects.  A company that creates strategies to support business owners in administrative projects.  Business owners that don’t have the means or desires to hire a permanent employee or temp. With the rising costs of healthcare and employee taxes, outsourcing is a great COST-EFFECTIVE solution.

We do not charge membership fees and by outsourcing you eliminate the need to offer or pay for healthcare, unemployment compensation, employee taxes and workman’s compensation.  We only charge our clients for the work we do for them.  Making this a win-win business model for both parties in this desperate time of recession.

Independent Projects has a team of Independent Contractors, each with a VERY specific set of skills, which also sets us a part from many Virtual Assistant providers.    WHY?   Because we are experienced in a variety of professions, we can provide your business a full range of services, not JUST administration.

My last thoughts on this post:

Keep pushing forward…. you can only succeed if you believe in yourself and your ideas.
